Medium Term Accommodation (MTA):
Medium Term Accommodation (MTA) provides individuals with disabilities a temporary accommodation option for a more extended period than STA or Respite but shorter than permanent living arrangements.
MMT Health delivers SIL and MTA services with a similar approach as STA, including assessment, skilled staffing, individualized support, monitoring, coordination with other services, flexibility, and a commitment to quality and safety. However, MTA would focus on providing a temporary and supportive living environment for individuals with specific needs, such as those undergoing transitional phases in their lives or requiring specialised care for an extended period.
Medium Term Accommodation (MTA) is an NDIS service that provides individuals with disabilities a temporary living arrangement for an extended period of up to 90days. MTA is typically used when participants require a stable and supportive environment for a duration longer than short-term accommodation. It allows for addressing specific needs, transitions, or changes while maintaining a degree of independence.
-
Assessment and Planning:
At MMT Health, our journey to providing Medium Term Accommodation (MTA) services commences with a comprehensive assessment. This assessment involves close collaboration with the individual with a disability, their family, and relevant healthcare professionals. The assessment allows us to gain deep insights into the unique requirements, preferences, and goals of the individual during their MTA stay.
-
Skilled Staffing:
Understanding the importance of specialized support, MMT Health assembles a highly skilled and trained team of professionals who excel in delivering MTA services. Our staff members, including support workers and care coordinators, are well-equipped to address a wide range of needs, ensuring a secure and supportive environment while promoting independence.
-
Individualized Support:
Our approach to MTA services is profoundly individualized, ensuring that each participant receives tailored support that aligns with their specific requirements and aspirations during their stay. This may encompass assistance with daily living activities, therapy, skill development, and any other unique needs identified during the assessment.
-
Monitoring and Review:
MMT Health places a strong emphasis on monitoring and continually reviewing the participant's experience during their MTA stay. Regular check-ins, assessments, and progress reviews are conducted to ensure that the support provided remains effective. Adjustments are made promptly to accommodate changes in the individual's goals and circumstances.
-
Coordination with Other Services:
We recognize that participants in MTA may have ongoing care and support needs that necessitate coordination with other healthcare services and providers. MMT Health ensures seamless collaboration to facilitate a multidisciplinary approach to care, particularly during transitions between medium-term accommodation and regular living arrangements.
-
Flexibility and Choice:
MMT Health is committed to respecting the principles of choice and control outlined by the NDIS. We work closely with participants and their families to create a supportive and comfortable environment that respects their preferences and needs throughout their MTA stay. We aim to ensure that individuals have the autonomy to make choices that enhance their experience.
-
Quality and Safety:
Quality and safety are paramount in our delivery of MTA services. MMT Health adheres strictly to NDIS quality and safety standards, guaranteeing that the medium-term accommodation provided is secure, comfortable, and of the highest quality. We prioritize the overall well-being and independence of each participant in our care.
